Hi, I'm Myles - a psychologist, coach and artist.
About me
I am currently an academic Psychologist in Population Health Science at the University of Bristol. My work focuses on (1) university student mental health, (2) the extent to which digital technology and artificial intelligence can support wellbeing, and (3) the use of creative methods to improve conversations around mental health between patients and clinicians. In 2019 I was awarded a Vice Chancellor’s Fellowship at the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute.
I am a Chartered Psychologist (British Psychological Society) and registered Coach (Institute of Leadership).
In 2012 I was a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge Psychometrics Centre, investigating the relationship between personality characteristics and life satisfaction. In 2018 I was awarded a PhD from the University of Exeter Medical School exploring the importance of measuring human wellbeing within Economics. In 2020 I was commissioned by Bricks & Marriot to create a new artwork for public display at Moxy Bristol. In 2021 I joined the Board of Directors at MAYK, one of the UK's leading live performance producing organisations.
